About

Aftersound is an ongoing listening and performance series focused on multi-channel / spatial audio performances and installation works presented in non-traditional performance spaces.

Aftersound’s goal is to give musicians opportunities to perform in multi-channel sound to enhance their own artistic practice, engage with listeners in new and unexpected ways, and explore the sonic qualities of non-traditional performance spaces.

Aftersound takes it’s name from a term composer Maryanne Amacher used to describe the phenomenon of tonality lingering in one’s auditory perception after a sound has stopped.
